Abstract�� The glycoprotein from Corbicula fluminea was isolated and purified by the methods of EDAE-52 cellulose and Sephadex G-75 column chromatography.The purity of the glycoprotein is 94.74% and its molecular weight is19030D by RP-HPLC and SDS-PAGE analysis.It has 5.18% sugar by phenol-sulfuric acid reaction and 93.22% protein by Bradford method.Alkaline β-elimination reaction proved protein is covalently linked with carbohydrate by O-glycosyl linkage.The glycoprotein by IR analysis shows the typical absorption of polysaccharide and the presence of pyranose β-glycoside linkage is indicated.
