乳清蛋白及其生物活性肽调节血糖功能研究进展

The Role of Whey Protein and Whey Protein-Derived Bioactive Peptides in Blood Glucose Regulation: A Review

摘要: 乳清蛋白及其生物活性肽具备多种保健功能,其调节血糖的功效受到关注,且乳清蛋白已被证实具有延缓2型糖尿病的功效。糖尿病是当今全球十大致死疾病之一,而90%的糖尿病患者所患为2型糖尿病。生活方式干预和药物营养治疗是当下治疗糖尿病的重要手段。前人的研究表明乳清蛋白及其生物活性肽调节血糖机理包括改善胰岛素抵抗、抑制α-葡萄糖苷酶活性、促进肠促胰素分泌等。本文综述了乳清蛋白及其生物活性肽调节血糖的作用及其调节血糖可能机制的研究进展,归纳了乳清蛋白源二肽基肽酶-IV抑制肽的相关研究,以期为乳品行业革新提供参考。

Abstract: Whey protein and whey protein-derived bioactive peptides have multiple health benefits, and have become a research hotspot due to their effectiveness in attenuating hyperglycemia. Whey protein and whey protein-derived bioactive peptides can delay the onset of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). T2DM accounts for more than 90% of all cases of diabetes and is nowadays one of the top ten causes of death worldwide. Lifestyle intervention and medical nutritional therapy are currently the important management strategies for T2DM. Previous studies have shown that whey protein and whey protein-derived bioactive peptides can regulate blood glucose levels by improving insulin resistance, inhibiting α-glucosidase, and promoting incretin secretion. This paper reviews recent progress in understanding the role and mechanism of whey protein and whey protein-derived bioactive peptides in the regulation of blood glucose, and it summarizes recent studies on whey protein-derived dipeptidyl peptidase-IV (DPP-IV) inhibitory peptides, aiming to provide incentives for innovations in the milk industry.
