Therefore, the development of technologies for tracing the geographical origin of wine will help strengthen market supervision and protect consumer interests. This paper summarizes recent progress in the development of technologies for identifying the geographical origin of wine, with focus on future trends in the development of wine geographical origin identification technologies based on mineral element fingerprint, stable isotope labeling and secondary metabolites. At the same time, the problems existing in wine geographical origin identification are discussed, aiming at promoting the establishment of an improved identification technology for wine geographical origin and the prosperity and development of the wine market in China.
