Abstract: In this research, a method for the determination of promethazine residues in animal meat and innards by high performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry was established. The samples were extracted by formic acid-acetonitrile, purified by HLB ion exchange extraction column, and quantitatively analyzed by using multi-reaction monitoring mode. The results showed that the method had a good linear relationship in the concentration range of 0.5-50 ng/mL, the linear correlation coefficient was greater than 0.999, the detection limit and quantitative limit were 0.1 and 0.3 μg/kg, respectively, and the recovery range of matrix addition was 85.7%-102.0%, and the precision was between 0.9%-7.4%(n=6). The method is simple and rapid, and can be used for the determination of promethazine in animal meat and innards.
