Abstract: Object To explore the effect of probiotic intervention frequency and cycle on blood lipids in hyperlipidemia rats. Method Established rat model of hyperlipidemia, use probiotics that have been isolated and preserved in the laboratory which have been proven to have good cholesterol-lowering effect in vitro, combined with the “intermittent fasting” used to treat obese people in recent years, designed two intervention groups, they were: 5:2 intragastric group in which Lp 67 strain was intervened 5 times a week, and a subgastric group in which the Lp 67 strain was intervened once every other day. The body weight of rats during gavage and the organ index at 4, 6, and 8 weeks of gavage and the levels of TC, TG, HDL-C and LDL-C in serum were measured and compared with continuous perfusion for 7 times a week, blank group and model group. Results Compared with the model group, three groups of intervention can effectively control blood lipids in hyperlipidemia rats, and there are significant differences(P<0.05), there are significant differences among the intervention groups(P<0.05), in general, intervention 5 times a week, the most effective intervention for 6 weeks is the most significant. Conclusion The frequency and cycle of probiotic intervention have significant effects on blood lipids in hyperlipidemia rats.
