The detection rate of Alternaria toxins in many agricultural products and processed products is relatively high, so it is necessary to remove Alternaria toxins efficiently, safely and economically. In this paper, we studied the ozone treatment on in vitro growth and toxins production by Alternaria, the experimental results showed that of colony diameter of treatment group is significantly lower than control group (P < 0.05), and the ozone treatment can significantly inhibit production of TeA, AOH and AME. Besides, ozone treatment caused spores and mycelia wrinkled and depressed by SEM observation. At the same time, ozone treatment showed strong inhibitory effect on pathogenicity and toxin-producing ability of Alternaria in tomato fruits, the results showed that with the increase of ozone concentration, the growth of Alternaria on tomato fruits inhibited increase gradually, the concentration of toxins also reduce accordingly, under the condition of 20 mg/L ozone treatment, the concentration of TeA, AOH and AME decreased by 36.1%, 89.9% and 93.2% respectively. Meanwhile, with increasing ozone concentration and treatment time, the degradation rates of TeA, AOH and AME were evidently elevated. TeA can be completely degraded after being treated with 20 mg/L of ozone for 30 min, and the degradation rate of AOH and AME reached over 90% after 120 min of 20 mg/L ozone treatment. Through comprehensive analysis, ozone technology can be used as a prevention method for Alternaria and its toxins pollution in agricultural products. %U https://www.spkx.net.cn/EN/abstract/article_49057.shtml
