Abstract: Protein-bearing wastewater’s flocculation conditions were studied by using konjac product series as flocculant. The influence of flocculant, pH, initial COD and flocculant dosage on COD removal rate was observed.Orthogonal test was carried out to optimize process conditions. Results showed that konjac micro powder was best for flocculation as pH and initial COD had significant effect on flocculating. Remarkable effects are not found in range of 3.5~5.0 g/L flocculant dosage. The optimized conditions is pH4.5 with initial COD of 6892 mg/L and 3.5 g/L konjac micro powder. The COD removal rate reached 75.84%.
