Present Status and Outlook of Nutraceuticals

Abstract: Nutraceuticals are developed rapidly in recent years. Their definition, background of development, present statusand outlook were introduced. The bioactive ingredients in nutraceuticals of plant and marine origins were described together withtheir uses. The direction of development and the problems needed to be solved on nutraceuticals were also pointed out.
