Abstract: Being the important active constituent of aloe aloe-emodin possesses antiseptic power antitumor andantibacterial immunity We applied thin layer scanning to the extraction and determination of aloe emodin from aloeextract.Relative standard deviation is 2.28% recovery is 98.44% .This method can be applied to the determinationof aloe- emodin in health food containing aloe.
