Abstract: To provide reference for the relevant researchers and administrative decision makers, bibliometric analysis was carried out to analyze the current status and development trend of global nutrigenomics research based on the papers published in SCI-E database over the last 20 years. The results showed that the overall research achievement of global nutrigenomics has a fluctuating growth trend. The field of global nutrigenomics research is still in the "climbing" development stage with tremendous space for development and broad prospects for development. America and its institutions have absolute advantage in the field of nutrigenomics research, but China has not yet entered the ranks of major countries and institutions in the world. Nutrition and Dietetics is the first major research area of nutrigenomics. Multidisciplinary and cross-disciplinary cooperation research is becoming the mainstream form. Research hotspots are shifting towards diet and health, from disease treatment to disease prevention (keeping healthy). Nutrigenomics applications, clinical medicine, emerging scientific disciplines, epigenome damage, mediterranean diet, etc are the frontiers of nutrigenomics research. Endowed with the largest area of populations in the world, China should attach more importance to the further study of nutrigenomics, so as to meet people's health needs and seize the commanding heights in the field of biomedicine and health.
