Abstract: Molecular imprinting technology (MIT) is a bionic technology that can selectively combine with analytes. In this article, we review the application of MIT in solid phase extraction, chromatographic separation and membrane separation for food analysis. Besides, we summarize the recent progress in the application of MIT in sensors for the detection of food hazards with emphasis on the application of MIT combined with separation and detection techniques in the separation and analysis of harmful substances in foods. We expect that this review will provide a reference for the application of MIT in food safety detection.
