Abstract: The trace elements were determined by ICP-MS、AAS of wild Liquidambar formosana which grew in Hainan Island.It showed that it might help repel cancer because of rich content of the Zn、Mn;It showed that the rate of Zn/Cu was clearly much lower than that found in the human edible plants,This indicated that it might be possible also for using Liquidambar formosana to treat diabetes and high blood pressure.We have conjectured that would be Xin taste because rareearth element contents were between4.1～8.0 and biological absorption coefficient( Ax ) in the Zn、Cu of Liquidambar Formosan was maximal.
