Abstract: The thermodynamic and kinetic characteristics of three adsorbents, PA, H103 and XAD-4 were systematicallyinvestigated during their adsorption on Tea Polyphenols (TP). The thermodynamics showed that the adsorption isotherms ofthese three adsorbents all belonged to the preferential isotherm and could be described by the Langmiur equation. The kineticsindicated that PA and H103 were intermediate speed adsorbents, while XAD-4 is low speed adsorbent during their applicationson TP. The equilibrium constants of PA, H103 and XAD-4 were KPA=1.461h-1,KH103=1.198h-1,KXAD-4=0.498h-1 respectively.
