Abstract: The original information of different protein content solution was collected using Spectrophotometric Colorimetry method (SPC) and Digital Image Collecting method (DIC) respectively. Highly consistency was shown for pure protein solution in comparison with the two methods. For milk powder, higher precision was shown using the colorimetric value G as a characteristic parameter by DIC method. The advantages of using DIC method to detect the content of protein in milk powder of easy operation, high precision and instant and high efficiency. It is more suitable for rapidly determinating and evaluating the food qualityi n the field ofc irculation.
