Analysis of Trade Disputes Caused by Food Safety Problems under WTO Rules

Abstract:  Agricultural is the basis of human existence and human food raw materials. Its security not only affects human health and quality of life,but also directly affects the growth and survival of mankind in the long run. Agricultural and food insecurity incidents often occur in the international community,as a result,the adverse impact of social and economic loss is very serious. After China’s admission to the WTO ,the detaining,returning and claiming of agricultural and food products by the importing country have occurred from time to time,it has seriously affected our country’s foreign trade. According to the analysis of the WTO rules that are related with food safety and the typical disputes about agricultural and food safety,the paper approaches some meaningful instance with the present safety problem of our agricultural and food trade.
