Abstract: A study on effect of acidity in determination of lead in food by hydride-generation atomic fluorescence spectrometry(HG-AFS) was introduced.Instrumental and analytical conditions were optimized. The optimal acidity of the sample solution is 0.18 mol/L.The linear range of the standard curve is 5~40μg/L with the regression coefficient of 0.9999.And the detection limit of this method is found to be 0.15μg/L.The relative standard deviation(RSD) is 0.22 %.The recovery rate is between 98.3 %~104.6 %.The method has been applied to the determination of lead in starch fungi mushrooms etc with satisfactory results.
