Review on Technique and Advance for High Performance Liquid Chromatography Analyzing Metal Elements in Foods

Abstract: The progress on high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) techniques for analyzing the metal elements in food-stuffs was reviewed,including in the applications of sampling preparation,pre-column derivation and determination of derivative solvent,chromatography preparation techniques and hyphenation with other detection apparatus (ICP-AES,ICP- MS,AFS) for the analysis of metal elements in food-stuffs. Special attention was given to HPLC analyzing technique with multi- determination of metal elements and maintaining a good analytic stability. The advance of the chromatography analyzing techniques for the metal elements was also discussed.
