Study on Film Forming Properties of Edible Chitosan Film with Glycerol and Stearic Acid as Addifives

Abstract: The film forming properties of an edible film prepared by chitosan with some additives were studied.By adding glycerol,the water vapor and carbon dioxide permeability of the film increased,while the tensile strength decreased.The addifion of stearic acid increased the carbon dioxide permeability while decreased the water vapor permeability and tensile strength of the film.
