Abstract: This article dealt with the effect of catechin on activity of Superoxide Dismutase (SOD)of serum in white mice under different experimental conditions. The results showed that catechin could obviousiy enhance the activity of SOD in white mice (better than that of treatment NO.2)Different types of bound catechin(free types、 liposome- bound types and micelle- bound types)under diffrerent intake methods (intravenous injection and oral intake)led to distinct effects on the activity of SOD.The liposome- bound types and micelle- bound types demonstrated superiority of raising the activity of SOD to free types(p<0.05)and the intravenous injection better than oral intake(p<0.05).
