Determination of Glucose by the Novel Glucose Oxidase Electrode Based on Prussian Blue in Juice Beverages

Abstract: The novel glucose oxidase electrode based on Prussian Blue(PB)-modified electrode combined with SiO2 sol-gel immobilization has been used to determinate the glucose content in juices and beverages. In this experiment, the BSA electrode made similarly by taking BSA instead of GOD, to be served as the reference electrode, has been employed to study the interference of matrix and interfering species in real sample. The testing results showed that the matrix and interfering species did not produce any observable interference for the assay. The reproducibility was satisfactory and the recovery was found to be in the range of 102.1%~104.2%.
