Analysis of Fatty Acid Compositions of Salicornia Europaea L. Seed Oil

Abstract: The contents, physical-chemical properties and chemical compositions of the oil in Salicornia Europaea L. seed have been investigated and determined in this paper. The experimental results showed that there were 5 components of fatty acid in the oil of Salicornia Europaea L seed by GC/MS. They were Linoleic acid 75.62%, Oleic acid13.04%, Pamitic acid 7.02%, Linolenic acid 2.63% and Stearic acid 2.37%. The composition of the oil was very similar to that of safflower oil. This oil nutritive and medical health value was high.
