Preparation of Specific Lipopolysaccharide Antigen of Enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli O157:H7 with Advanced Hot Phenol-water Method

Abstract: The LPS antigen was prepared from EHEC O157:H7 strain 933 with hot phenol water method and purified by enzyme hydrolyzing with DNase and RNase, and then hydrolyzed by 1.5% acetic acid for getting OPS. The O157:H7 LPS antigen has high purity specificity, has activity of agglutinating limulus amebocyte lysate and high immunoreactivity for chicken. They could be used to produce specific anti-LPS antibody.
