Abstract: In order to investigate the recovery of rat function of cardiac muscle and skeletal muscle after loading swimming, the rat blood sugar and plasma serum lactic acid concentration were determined after loading swimming by filling rats with D-ribose of different doses. The results indicated that after swimming the concentration of blood sugar of the different dose Ribose Test Groups were lower than Swimming Control Group, and the same dose Ribose Control Group. After recovery 72h, the concentration of blood sugar of the Middle Ribose Test Group and the Low Ribose Test Group were higher than the concentration after swimming. After swimming the concentration of plasma serum lactic acid of the different dose Ribose Test Groups were lower than the same dose Ribose Control Group. After recovery 72h, the concentration of plasma serum lactic acid of the different dose Ribose Test Groups were lower than the concentration after swimming, and the same dose Ribose Control Group. Ribose can improve the capability of the blood sugar absorption into muscles, provide the energy to muscles more effectively, and enhance the capability of exercise and the storage of sugar. Ribose can promote Cori circulation, enhance the formation of sugar from serum lactic acid, and prevent the accumulation of serum lactic acid. Ribose can enhance the recovery of body after exercise.
