Abstract: Bacillus A32 has been isolated from the slaughtering house soil whose ability on fermenting swine blood was superior. To improve the ability on fermenting swine blood by A32, fermentation conditions were studied on various factors and orthogonal experiments. The optimum fermentation medium containing soybean powder 2%, cornmeal 3%, Na2HPO4·12H2O 0.4%, KH2PO4 0.03%, Na2CO3 0.01% and Mn2+ 0.4mmol/L with pH7.2. At the same time, the effects for producing protease such as time, rotation speed, inoculum size, temperature and metal ions were studied. The results showed that 48h, 190r/min, 2% inoculum size and 30℃ are optimum for producing protease.
