Abstract: Cellulase was immobilized onto starch-g-poly(acrylonitrile/acrylamide) copolymers carrier by means of diazotization. The effects of different coupling time, buffer pH and the amount of cellulase on activity and specific activity of immobilized enzyme were studied. Some characteristics of immobilized and free cellulases, such as optimum temperature, optimum pH, stabilities to heat, the operational stabilities and the stabilities for reservation were studied and compared. The studies on property of immobilized cellulase showed that the optimal pH is 6.6 and the optimal temperature is 50℃. The thermal stability and the stability for reservation of immobilized cellulase are improved considerably.
