Abstract: There are rich polyphenolic compounds in bee-pollen, which have multi-functions, such as anti-arteriosclerosis, cholesterol lowering function, anti-oxidation and anti-radiation. Therefore, polyphenolic compounds could be evaluated as the activities of bee-pollen. Total polyphenolic compounds in bee-pollen were determined by Folin-Ciocaileu method. The standard sample is protocatechuic acid, and regressive equation of standard curve is C=7.9234A-0.0157 (R2=0.9999). Furthermore, stability, precision, repetition and recovery rate were assayed with RSD(relative standard deviation) as 0.05%~1.43%. The method is convenient, fast, and exact, it is reliable to determine the total polyphenolic in bee-pollen.
