Abstract: Tea plant[Camellia sinensis(L.)O.Kuntze] flower polyphenols were fractionated by Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography to obtain eight fractions mainly containing catechins which were taken off caffeine. The catechins fractions were separated and purified by silica column chromatography respectively to obtain four catechins monomers.Their purities were identified by HPLC methods. The purity of EC,ECG,EGCG,GCG was 98.9%,96.8%,98.6% and 97.1% respectively.
