Determination of Avermectin Residues in Eel Tissue by HPLC

Abstract: A rapid HPLC method for determination of avermetion in eel tisue was developed. After extracted by acetonitrile and cleaned up by liquid phase extraction on dichloromethane, concentrated, following derivatization with N-methylimidazole and triflucroacetle, avermection determined by high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) with fluorescence detection. Recoveries ranged from 78.3%~101.9% for eel tisue samples fortified with avermection ranges from 2~20μg/kg, the limited level of detection is 1μg/kg.
