Effect of Temperature on Electric Parameters of Gala Apple

Abstract

Abstract: The effect of temperature rise (up to 25 ℃) on electric parameters of Gala apples stored at 0 ℃ was investigated by determining the changes of four electric parameters including complex impedance (Z), equivalent serial inductance (Ls), equivalent serial capacitance (Cs) and equivalent serial resistance (Rs) with increasing temperature. At 24 frequency levels tested, Z, Ls and Rs showed the same changing trend: a decrease with the increase in temperature from 0 to 25 ℃, while Cs changed in an opposite manner. Z and Rs were significantly lower at 25 ℃ than 0 ℃ (P ＜ 0.05), while a significant rise in Cs was found (P＜0.05).
