Bibliometric Analysis of SCI-embodied Literatures on Food Science and Technology in China

Abstract:

Through the statistical analysis of publication time, source, author, address, subject and citation of Science Citation Index (SCI)-embodied literatures, the developing actuality of food science and technology in China was discussed. Results showed that total 2735 literatures on food science and technology in China were embodied by SCI during 2000—2007. Among them 1571 literatures, which occupied more than 50%, were published on the top 10 journals in nearly 100 searched ones, indicating that these published articles were at a high level as a whole. Moreover, these published literatures were mainly from the universities and the research fields focused on food chemistry and agricultural sciences.
