New Process of Clarification for Healthy Vinegar by Medicinal Stone Maifanshi-Chitosan

Abstract: A solid adsorbent was made from medicinal stone maifanshi and chitosan which can be used to treat healthy vinegar. The solid adsorbent was prepared by 80 mesh medicinal stone maifanshi mixed with 0.5% acetic aid solution of 90% deacetylation degree chitosan slurry by 1:12 ratio(m:V). The optimal conditions are: absorbent amount of addition 1.5 g/100 ml, agitation time 6 min at room temperature and the vinegar was easily filtered and had a high-quality with amber color and transparence. The vinegar product could be stored for 6 months without any sediment problems. The filtrate slurry could be used for fertilizer and feed additive without environmental pollution.
