A Comparison of China’s Previous and Current National Standards for Raw Milk with Respect to Major Quality Indexes

Abstract: This article provides an overview of the historical evolution of China’s national standard for raw milk. A comparison of the national standards issued from 1977 to 2010 is made with respect to scope of application, definition, technical requirements and other aspects. Furthermore, this article summarizes the national standards for raw milk of several other countries. It is expected that this review can provide valuable information for future revision of China’s national standard for raw milk.
