Abstract: This article gave a way of synthetizing the vitamin E oleate by using oleic chloride and α-tocopherol. Through orthogonal experiments, the reaction was carried out in non-aqueous medium with methylene chloride as solvent and pyridine as catalyst. The influence of the initial molar ratio of substrates, the amount of catalyst, reaction temperature and time was investigated, and the vitamin E oleate product was analysed by TLC and HLCP. The optimum of reaction conditions were established as follow: at 45℃, vitamin E (α-tocopherol )/ oleic chloride (mol/mol) =3:1, in the presence of 0.025ml the pyridine as catalyst, vitamin E oleate yield reached 41.8% after 4h of reaction.
