Abstract: The water extracts (PWE) and the alcohol extracts (PAE, use 70% ethanol) from Pleurospermum lindleyanum were examined for antibacterial activity on five kind of bacteria. It is shown that extracts of Pleurospermum lindleyanum had a notable inhibiting microorganism activity. The MIC for every kind of microorganism is respectively as follows: for PWE, Echerichia coli 5%, Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis 3%, Bacillus thuringlensis, Bacillus Pumilus 1%; for PAE, Echerichia coli 3%, Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus Pumilus 0.5%, Bacillus thuringlensis, 0.25%.
