Study on Slumber Improving with Caulis polygoni Multiflori in Mice

Abstract: The Caulis polygoni multiflori holds significant therapeutic effects on improving the mice sleep quality.This paper studied the three active components of Caulis polygoni multiflori through its extraction,separation and edulcoration.They are found to be glycoside,anthraquinone and flavone.Based on the method of GB(Method for the Assessment of Sleep Improvement Function),three mice groups doses were adopted:high,middle and low,to processing the sleep improvement function.The results showed that the sleeping of mice can be improved by the three components extracted from Caulis polygoni multiflori(p<0.05).
