Abstract: The high-yield cellulase strains were found from the intestinal of Gomphocerus Ssibiricus. The intestinal bacteria were isolated through the conventional methods. They were preliminarily identified by using cellulose-Congo red medium, secondly screened according to their cellulase activities by hydrolysis circle size and finally identified by VITEK-32.The results indicated that cellulose-Congo red medium is a better screening medium.By it 30 bacteria were isolated.4 high-yield cellulase strains were screened from 10 strains with larger hydrolysis circle size.Among them Corynebacterium xerosisthe and Staphylococcus auricularis were identified, but 2 other strains couldn’t be identified.
