Abstract: Four strains of Pleurotus ostreatus were analysised by RAPD (random amplified polymorphic DNA) to investigate the polymorphism of their DNA sequences. The results showed that 3 of 15 arbitray primers could produce 66 obvious and stable DNA bands. The dendrogram was constructed by the similarity coefficient calculation and phylogenetic analysis. This is a rapid and efficient technique to identify the strains of P.floridanus, and analysis their genetic distance on molecular level.
