Abstract: In this study, by determining changes of activties of SOD and GSH-Px and content of MDA in mice serum, antioxidant function in vivo of flavonoids extracts of Fructus rhodomyrti to mice was investigated, and by determining hydroxyl radical scavenging capacity and inhibition rate to superoxide anion radical of the flavonoids extracts, its anti-radical action in vitro was also investigated. Results showed that the flavonoids extracts of Fructus rhodomyrti have improving effects on activities of SOD and GSH-Px in mice serum and reducing effect on MDA content in mice serum, and they can scavenge hydroxyl radical and superoxide anion radical effectively. The anti-radical action and antioxidant function of flavonoids extracts of Fructus rhodomyrti are validated.
