Abstract: 11 coenzyme Q10-producing strains were isolated from 50 marine yeasts preliminarily. A high-producing strain,FH-8 was obtained through rescreening from those 11 yeasts. The fermentation conditions of CoQ10 by FH-08 were optimized. The results showed that the optimal fermentation conditions are as following:carbon source of glucose 3%,nitrogen source of yeast extract 2%,initial pH 6.5,inoculum size 4%,filled volume of medium 50 ml/300 ml,temperature 30℃ and rotation speed 200 r/min. Under these fermentation conditions, the biomass reaches 2.34 g/200 ml,and the CoQ10 concentration in broth reaches 28.6 mg/L.
