Comparision Study on Bioactivities of Bletilla striata(Thunb.)Reichb.f.Polysaccharide and BSPSS

Abstract:  Bletilla striata polysaccharide(BSPS)was extracted,purified and sulfated.Some physical,chemical characterisitics and biological activities of BSPS and BSPSS(BSPS-sulfate)were studied in this paper.The solubility of BSPSS in water increases much more than that of BSPS.The mean molecular weight of BSPSS is 9.0607×104 and that of BSPS 9.9658×104.BSPSS has a stronger scavenging abifity on O2-·and·OH than that of BSPS.BSPSS and BSPS can inhibit the H2O2-induced hemolysis and promote proliferation of lymphocyte B.BSPSS has obvious inhibition on the growth of lymphocyte B and U937 in vitro.
