Preparation of Microcapsules of medicine food homology Synergistic ACE Inhibitory Peptide and Its Hypotension Effect

Abstract: In this experiment, the medicine food homology complex (goji berry:hawthorn:cassia=4:1:1) synergistically inhibited the antihypertensive effect of peptide microcapsules on Spontaneous Hypertension Rat (SHR) rats. When the ratio of ACE inhibitory peptide to complex mass was 1:2, the ACE inhibition rate was 78.19%, which was significantly higher than that of single medicine food homology complex (69.46%) and ACE inhibitory peptide (71.48%) (P<0.05). By optimizing the embedding process (solid content of 10%, inlet air temperature of 160°C, core-to-wall ratio of 1:15, wall material of modified starch:maltodextrin=1:4), the synergistic ACE inhibitory peptide microcapsule embedding rate was 85.44%, the intestinal release rate was 81.40%, and the bitter taste was significantly reduced (P <0.05).Animal experiments have found that the medicine food homology and ACE inhibitory peptides can significantly reduce the blood pressure values of SHR rats, significantly increase the content of Angiotensin converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) and Angiotensin 1-7 (Ang(1-7)) in rat plasma, and reduce Angiotensin Converting Enzyme(ACE) in plasma and the content of Angiotensin II (Ang II) in plasma, heart, kidney and thoracic aorta (P<0.05), the effect is better than that of single complex and ACE inhibitory peptide, proving that the medicine food homology have a synergistic effect with ACE inhibitory peptide, which can reduce blood pressure by regulating the renin-angiotensin system (RAS). It can also significantly reduce the degree of heart and thoracic aorta fibers in SHR rats, thereby improving organ damage caused by hypertension.
