Abstract: The effects of different environmental factors on Nitzschia palea were studied in the paper. The findings indicated that Nitzschia palea better growth with CO(NH2)2 than other nitrogen source, and μmax and final cell concentration was 0.49 d-1 and 0.54 g/L respectively, 0.72 g/L and 0.15 mol/L NaCl was optimum for growth of N.palea. Results showed that cell concentration of N.palea increased as increase of the Na2SiO3 level. Light intensity was limiting key of N.pale and basic culture liquid was favor to the N.palea.
