Simultaneous Determination of Eight Kinds of Sulfonamide Residues in Casing by Liquid Chromatography- fluorescence

Abstract: A method was developed for the determination of eight kinds of sulfonamide residues (sausagessulfadiazine, sulfamonomethoxine,sulfamethoxazole, sulfamerazine, sulfamethoxydiazine, sulfaquinoxaline, sulfamethoxypyridazine and sulfadimidine)in casing by liquid chromatography-fluorescence. The sulfonamide residues in casing were extracted with 1% acetic acid /acetonitrile and cleaned up by n-hexane and derived with fluorescamine for LC analysis. Results showed that the calibration curve had good linear in the ranges of 2.00×102~5.00×102 ng/ml, and the correlation coefficients were 0.9982~0.9997 for 8 sulfonamides, respectively. The recovery of the method was 63.7%~87.8% at 5~50 ng/ml addition concentration, and the detection limit was 5 ng/ml.
