Lactic Acid and Metabolic Engineering for Lactic Acid Production

Abstract

Abstract: Lactic acid is an important organic acid of industrial importance.It is not only an energy resource for organism,but also important for the balance of metabolic networks as a potential signal molecule.Here,the chief problems encountered during lactic acid production today were analysed,some practices recently that using metabolic engineering approaches to improve lactic acid production were introduced,and the potential and trend for lactic acid production using metabolic engineering approaches were expected.
