Content Determination of Gallic Acid in Fruit of Trapa manshurica by HPLC

Abstract: Objective: To determine the content of gallic acid in fruit of Trapa manshurica by HPLC. Methods: Chromatographyconditions: C18 column with methanol-0.5% glacial acetic acid solution(15:85) as the mobile phase, flow rate 1.0 ml/min, detectionwave length at 271nm and 27℃. Results: Content of gallic acid in fruit of Trapa manshurica is 0.08%, the average recovery is98.3% and RSD is 1.89%. Conclusion: The method is simple, sensitive, and accurate. It is available for quality control of Trapamanshurica.
