Abstract: Dimethachlon is a kind of small molecular hapten that has immunoreactivity instead of immunogenicity. In order to establish an immunoassay method for dimethachlon, N-(3,5-dichlorophenyl)-2-hydroxysuccinimide was synthesized by chloralide of malic acid and 3,5-dichloroaniline, and then reacted with succinic anhydride to obtain the hapten N-(3,5- dichlorophenyl) succinimide-2-hemisuccinate. The structure of the product was identified by IR, 1HMR and LC-MS, which provided the foundation for future research of dimethachlon immunoassay.
