Determination of Alliin Contents in Garlicinenteric-coated Tablets by HPLC

Abstract: Objective:To establish HPLC method for determination of alliin in garlicinenteric-coated tablets.Method:The HPLC system consis of Zorbax C18 column(250 mm×4.6 mm,5μm) and methanol and water(30:70) as the mobile phase with the flow rate of 0.5 ml/min.The UV detection was 214 nm.Results:The standard curve is linear within the range of 0.0122~0.61 mg/ml,and the average recovery of alliin is 97.2 %.Conclusion:This method is simple,accurate and reliable for determination of alliin contents in garlicinenteric-coated tablets by HPLC.
