Development of Enzyme Immunoassay Kit for Clenbuterol

Abstract: An indirect competitive enzyme immunoassay with monoclonal antibody was established for measuring clenbuterol in urine or food. The effect factors of ELISA was optimized by experiment. The kit was showed good sensitivity with the IC50 of 0.6ng/ml. The kit generally had not more than 0.3% cross-reactivity towards adrenergic agonists. The recoveries of clenbuterol spike in pig urine were 90%~104%. The inter-assay coefficient variation was below 6%. The intra-assay coefficient variation was below 10%.The kit also showed fine precision and accuracy of assay in 12 months shelf life.
