Abstract: A novel chemiluminescence method for the determination of fenthion based on the reaction of Luminol and H2O2 in the presence of NaBr has been established under the optimal conditions. The CL intensity is linear to the fenthion concentra- tion in the range of 1.0×10-8~1.0×10-6 g/ml, and the detection limit is 2.5×10-9 g/ml. The relative standard is less than 1.7% for 5.0×10-7 g/ml fenthion (n=11). This method has been successfully applied for the determination of fenthion in fruits and vegetable samples. At the same time, further study will focuse on the dynamic curve of fenthion.
