Abstract: Abstract: Objective Comprehensive analysis and identification of metabolites in Lycium barbarum fruit, comparison of metabolite differences among different varieties, provide reference for in-depth excavation and utilization of different varieties of Lycium barbarum. Method Using dried Lycium ruthenicum Murr and Lycium chinense Mill, L.var.Auranticarpum K.F.Ching as materials, the metabolites of the two kinds of Lycium barbarum were identified and compared by high performance liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS). Results A total of 1104 metabolites were detected in two kinds of Lycium barbarum fruits, including 12 kinds of amino acids and their derivatives, phenolic acids, flavonoids, alkaloids, lipids and others, among which phenolic acids, flavonoids and alkaloids accounted for the highest proportion. Through PCA and cluster analysis, it was found that there were 235 up-regulated and 252 down-regulated metabolites between Lycium ruthenicum Murr and Lycium chinense L.var.Auranticarpum K.F.Ching. KEGG enrichment analysis showed that the differential metabolites among different varieties of Lycium barbarum were mainly involved in the biosynthesis of flavonoids, biosynthesis of tropane, piperidine and pyridine alkaloids, biosynthesis of secondary metabolites, ABC transport and other pathways. Conclusion Different varieties have great influence on the content of metabolites of Lycium barbarum. The results of this study provide some theoretical guidance for the development and utilization of black Chinese wolfberry and yellow wolfberry.
